I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt
of Your Excellency's letter of the instant or requesting
adjudication of certain land at Hung Hom stated to have been transferred to the Colonial Government under the conditions laid down in Secretary of State's Circular of 3 December 1894.
In reply I have to state that Your

The Colonial Government asked and obtained permission for certain works to be spent within a Military Reserve, the land constituting
which has never been transferred to the Military Authorities, but has always remained until the recent sale of a portion of it, the property of the Colonial Government.
